Classic Summer Peach Cobbler

Made with sweet, juicy peaches and a golden cobbler topping, this easy recipe is perfect for backyard dinners, family gatherings, or simply enjoying the best flavors of summer.


Ingredients

Ingredients for the Peach Filling

  • 6–8 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

Ingredients for the Cobbler Topping

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar

  • 1½ teaspoons baking powder

  • ¼ teaspoon salt

  • ¾ cup milk

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted


Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. In a large bowl, gently toss peaches with sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and cornstarch.

3. Transfer peach mixture to a greased 9-inch baking dish.

4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk until just combined.

5. Pour melted butter into the baking dish around the peaches, then spoon the batter evenly over the fruit. (Don't stir!)

6. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbling around the edges.

7. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of freshly whipped cream.
